Currently working with Atkins as leader and design director of the UK based International Design Team. Most noted for the design of the Burj Al Arab in Dubai. This web site shows a selection of the portfolio that he has created with the team over the past few years.

The International Design Team has grown to become a skilled group of creative individuals capable of undertaking world wide architectural design projects from sketch to reality. Typically the work has concentrated on the leisure, high end residential, commercial and mixed use sectors.

New projects are conceptualised in design workshops where creative and technical leaders are encouraged to constructively challenge each others ideas ensuring the output remains fresh, interesting and relevant.

The diversity of the team results in a multi cultural fusion of ideas that inspires every design. The team originates from fourteen different countries and together speak more than twenty languages. Deliberately here is no house style, each new design is a fresh challenge and takes into consideration it’s unique location, the local culture and the clients dreams.

The projects that are created are not only visually and experientially exciting but also environmentally sensitive and rigorous in their practicality. It is easy to design a landmark building that is so extreme in its form that it is prohibitively difficult to build. The challenge is always to create buildings that are not only practical but also exciting.
